Fun

This morning we saw that the Northern Orioles that nest in our back yard every year had returned from their winter migration. We were so excited that we decided to make a feeder to hold the oranges we feed them.

Just so you know, this is an oriole and they make the coolest hanging nests.
So of course we want to encourage them to hang around and weave wonderful nests in our trees.

So Logan and I pounded nails and he screwed in a hook

And twisted it tight.

And Amanda found the oranges and cut them in half.

Then they both impaled the oranges on the nails.

Looks good to me!

And we trooped out to the garden to hang our creation.

Taking turns is very important in our home so Logan had the honor of carrying the new feeder all the way to the garden.

And Amanda had the privilege of hanging it up.

Ready for birds!

A job well done.
