Swim Soccer Anyone?

Amanda helped me water my plants today and decided that since it was 80 degrees she needed to go put on her swim suit and run through the sprinkler. After she got good and cool, it was time to play soccer. Check out her soccer outfit!

OH MY GOSH!!! How that girl cracks me up!!!!!

P.S. - she is swimming in the bath tub as I type this... WITH HER BATHING SUIT ON! She is her own person! : )

"Amanda, will you play with me?"

Logan came home from school today and promptly asked his sister to go outside and play with him!!!!!!!! I've been hearing nothing but nice words floating in through the windows as the two get reacquainted with their playhouse and trampoline. My mommy heart is so VERY happy! THIS is why we decided to have two children... some days, with all the bickering, I forget!

MIZ-ZOU!

Eric sent me this photo Thursday night to BRAG that HE got to meet the head coach for the Mizzou football team. SURE!!! Business trip, huh? Working hard, you say? Drinking beers with Gary Pinkel is a tough way to make a living, don't ya think!

Choo Choo & Flowers

Amanda and I spent this beautiful afternoon planting purple pansies in our front flower garden. Here we are trying to pose by our hard work. Hope the flowers fill out soon... : )

Did you see any specks of purple? We planted 36 little pansies and each one she patted it in and told it goodnight (since we were planting them in a bed I suppose) and covered it up with mulch. So sweet. And I was the best mommy EVER. I didn't get upset when she was a little too rough and broke off some branches. YEA ME!

Then when Logan got home from school they wanted me to draw a track for them, but for some reason they weren't sharing well (go figure!) so I had to draw two separate tracks.

Fashion Show

It's taken a while to get the photos, but a few weeks back was the spring consignment sale here in Wichita that I LOVE to shop at. Here are some of the TOO CUTE dresses I picked up for Amanda.
Notice the beautiful purple bruise on her cheek? Swing ricochet accident at preschool : (.

Don't you just LOVE how she poses? : )

She even found a matching headband in her bathroom drawer.
This one is her FAVORITE! Every time I wash it, it's worn! I think her other dresses are getting jealous!

The funny thing is that for once, I found more clothes for Logan than her to buy, but for some reason I don't feel the need to take photos of all his t-shirts and shorts : ). It's a cruel, unfair world, I know!

Soccer

Logan's first day of soccer practice was today. He did MUCH better this time that the last time we tried this... granted he was 3 years old at the time! : ) Here are a few action shots.

USS Lexington

Our last stop before our long drive home was the USS Lexington aircraft carrier museum on the bay in Corpus Christi. Logan was in Future Fighter Pilot heaven!

This thing was HUGE! See the tiny airplanes and helicopters on top?

Sitting in the captains chair.

One of MANY narrow, steep stairs.

"LOOK MOM, A BLUE ANGLES JET!"

Trying out one of the deck guns. You could really move them up and down and side to side!
Two attempts at a family photo. Neither turned out well, but put them both together and you can see both children! : )

Logan saw it from the highway as we were driving in (kinda hard to miss!) and said "Hey, that looks just like MY aircraft carrier. " (His toy) It was a real treat for our little guy. They even showed a REAL fighter jet movie that lasted for 50 minutes... Logan was ecstatic!

Back From The Beach

We made it home with minimal mess through Oklahoma. I'm very glad we decided to head back when we did. They had a lull in the snow storm so the roads were mostly clear but they were expected more snow this afternoon. We did run into some white out conditions from the blowing and snow and some drifting issues on the road but over all, not the worst we've driven through!

Anyway, here are some beach photos!!!
