CAMERA FOUND CATCH UP!

Well, I behind again on my blog but what else is new!?!
Here are some updates from The Lost Camera that has since been found.

Check out our backyard where they could have filmed "A River Runs Through It" during one of our fall rains.

From Eric's birthday....  40 beers "cake".

And here is Eric's Pretty Pink Princess Pony Pinata that we gifted him with.
I don't care how old we get... I hope we never grow up!

Check out these climbing monkeys!
Here they are ready to climb the wall.

Cheering Cheerful Amanda

Amanda had the opportunity to attend a cheer clinic and cheer on one of the local high school football teams.  I only had my phone camera to take photos but I put a giant purple arrow over Amanda so you can find her in the crowd.

A Busy October

A lot has happened in the Monkey House since Eric's Birthday, however somewhere in the celebration I have misplaced my camera and of course all the photos I had taken so you'll have to make do with my cell phone photos for now until my good camera turns up.

For Eric's birthday we made him a really cool beer cake (photos to come if I can find that darn camera).  We also got him a pretty princess pony pinata!  Cus' ya know....  40 is so much FUN!  (Video to come if I can find that darn camera).

Then I was at the nature center for a special even all day Saturday.  I played Spiderman.  This is my selfie.  You'll just have to take my word that I was the one in the costume!  : )

We found this really cool butterfly hanging out on our window.  Amanda was the hero that looked it up on the internet and identified it as a red spotted purple.  GO 'MANDA!

We took advantage of a fall display to snap a few fall pictures.  CUTE!

We also went shopping for our Halloween costumes.  Amanda didn't end up going with this banana costume but it was too funny and I had to take a picture.
Amanda Banana!!!!  HA HA HA HA!

Things are going so well here in the Monkey House that smiley faces just pop up randomly!
In case you haven't heard, Logan had his 1 year post transplant check up last week.  We were at the hospital ALL DAY for all sorts of tests.  They checked out his heart, lungs, endocrine system and more.  We still have a few more tests and specialists to see to finish his evaluation but some of the test results have come back and everything looks great.  His heart, lungs, kidneys, thyroid, liver, and pituitary glad made it through the transplant without damage.  So far his body has not rejected the transplant and his new bone marrow is playing nice with his body (so no graft vs host disease).  The best news of all is that no cancer was found when they did his bone marrow biopsy last week so fingers crossed that we finally knocked this cancer out!

HAPPY DANCE!

Awards and Music

Logan's class sang at the PTA meeting on Tuesday night.  Here are the short videos I took of each of the songs in case you would like to view.

Amanda also received an award that night.  She received a Character award for welcoming new students.  Funny since she IS a new student.  I guess that's why she was welcoming.  She knows how that feels.  : )

9 YEAR OLD BABY?!?

My baby turned 9 years old!
I can hardly believe she is 9!!!!

Since her birthday fell on a school day this year Eric and I picked her up for a special lunch of her choosing.  She chose the gourmet restaurant Taco Bell.

After dropping her back off at school I ran around town gathering the supplies needed to surprise her when she got home.

Since we got a pinata for Eric for his birthday Amanda deemed 2014 the year of the pinata.
Who am I to argue?  It was raining outside so we couldn't have our fun on the deck so I rigged up a system in the entry way.
Of course no birthday is complete with out balloons.
(Especially for this balloon crazy girl!)
And then... THE CAKE!  At her request, chocolate with some chocolate topped with chocolate.

When she got home she had to take care the the pinata FIRST THING!

I thought it was funny that she chose a decorative curtain rod as her instrument of destruction.

Then we moved on to birthday cake... 7 pounds of birthday cake!
Oh, boy.

Logan's slice was bigger that his head!  Good thing he didn't eat it all as this was before dinner.  : )

Then she went birthday shopping with Grandma while we made her birthday dinner.

Only 365 more days until she is in the double digits.  I'm not sure I'm ready for that.
