We have been enjoying our summer to the max! So much that I haven't been keeping up with the blog, but here are some highlights for the past few months.
Coming home from a camping trip, Amanda noticed this odd shape on the bottom of Eric's tire.
Upon closer inspection we discovered this little brown bat! He was not happy to see us home.
We have also added a new member to our family. Meet Dash. Aptly named for his tendency to dash under our feet when we walk by.
The dogs have become accustom to him now, but when he first came home they were constantly watching him... usually while licking their lips. : )
He is still a tiny little thing, though he has grown some since these photos were taken. This photo shows you his little attitude and explains why the dogs now leave him alone!
Sometimes you can even catch Casey and Dash cuddled up together. But his tendency to rough play has not endeared him to our other dog, Hunter.
We have also been dropping a line in the water at some of our local lakes.
I have also been taking my two little monkeys on hiking adventures.

This hiking trip took us to some large limestone rocks that were very fun to explore.
There was a lot of rock jumping going on.
As you can tell, we had a lot of fun and got our daily exercise to boot!
Next week it's back to school for my monkeys. I can hardly wait!
