Hollywood Studios

Sorry it's taken me so long to get these posted, but hey! Better late than never, eh?

So Friday Eric, the kids, and I went to Hollywood Studios and Gayle caught a flight home. It was another blistering hot day, and apparently also Star Wars Week so the park was full of Star Wars groupies. Upon our arrival, there were storm troopers keeping watch over the crowds from on top of the buildings.

And in the park there were all sorts of groupies in costumes. It was hard to tell which ones were Disney employees and which ones were guests. Logan couldn't care less which category they belonged in. He was just in Star Wars heaven!

We told Amanda going into this that yesterday (Thursday) was her day (with all the princesses) and today was Logan's day. She was a good sport about it all and only had minor boredom issues (which we resolved in unique ways... aka making funny faces for the camera).

Logan saw lots of Star Wars heroes... and villains.

And we explored the Honey I Shrunk The Kids play land where they pretended to be the size of ants.

By this time it was just TOO hot so we headed back to camp for our traditional afternoon nap time.
(Before we left we saw lots of shows, which is mostly what Hollywood Studios is. We saw the Stunt Car Spectacular and it was VERY spectacular! We took the "Back Lot Tour" and saw the Little Mermaid Musical Adventure... which we all surprisingly enjoyed. And we also watched the every popular Indiana Jones show... all of which I took video of rather than photos.)

After some quiet time and dinner we headed back to the park. We used our fastpass to ride the Star Wars Flight Simulator...

You wear this hip looking 3-D glasses and board a space shuttle simulator. VERY COOL!

Outside the ride was a neat Ewok mock up. (Do I HAVE to have my picture taken with my SISTER?!?!

And Amanda found this cool little fighter plane...

...that all had to "fly".

We stopped to see the Fantasmic Fireworks show... but I only have video and it's too big a file for my piddly internet connection out here. : (

Then we used another fast pass to ride Arrowsmith's Rocken' Rollercoaster. This is probably Disney's biggest/fastest roller coaster and the kid's LOVED IT! Or as Logan said "Totally SWEET!" (no pictures of that one... just too fast)

Our last ride of the night was the new Toy Story ride where you (again) wear 3-D glasses and shoot virtual bullets, rings, or darts at various targets as you progress through the ride. Anything you can shoot, Logan is all for! Amanda enjoyed herself too.

I'll try to post again tomorrow to let you know how we spent the rest of our Disney trip.
