A Busy October

A lot has happened in the Monkey House since Eric's Birthday, however somewhere in the celebration I have misplaced my camera and of course all the photos I had taken so you'll have to make do with my cell phone photos for now until my good camera turns up.

For Eric's birthday we made him a really cool beer cake (photos to come if I can find that darn camera).  We also got him a pretty princess pony pinata!  Cus' ya know....  40 is so much FUN!  (Video to come if I can find that darn camera).

Then I was at the nature center for a special even all day Saturday.  I played Spiderman.  This is my selfie.  You'll just have to take my word that I was the one in the costume!  : )

We found this really cool butterfly hanging out on our window.  Amanda was the hero that looked it up on the internet and identified it as a red spotted purple.  GO 'MANDA!

We took advantage of a fall display to snap a few fall pictures.  CUTE!

We also went shopping for our Halloween costumes.  Amanda didn't end up going with this banana costume but it was too funny and I had to take a picture.
Amanda Banana!!!!  HA HA HA HA!

Things are going so well here in the Monkey House that smiley faces just pop up randomly!
In case you haven't heard, Logan had his 1 year post transplant check up last week.  We were at the hospital ALL DAY for all sorts of tests.  They checked out his heart, lungs, endocrine system and more.  We still have a few more tests and specialists to see to finish his evaluation but some of the test results have come back and everything looks great.  His heart, lungs, kidneys, thyroid, liver, and pituitary glad made it through the transplant without damage.  So far his body has not rejected the transplant and his new bone marrow is playing nice with his body (so no graft vs host disease).  The best news of all is that no cancer was found when they did his bone marrow biopsy last week so fingers crossed that we finally knocked this cancer out!

HAPPY DANCE!
