Amanda's Update

Here is Amanda's update from the last 3 weeks...

She brought home her number scroll that she worked on all year.  The goal was to write your numbers all the way to one THOUSAND with a reward to eating lunch with her teacher.  I guess she is an overachiever because SHE wrote all the way to one thousand two hundred ninety!

 Last day of school donuts!!!!

 NO SCHOOL, NO SCHOOL, NA NA NA NA NA NAAAAAAAA!!!

 Amanda also discovered a unique item for sale.  Preying mantis egg sacs!  We purchased  some, put them in glass jars in our window and waited patiently for the little buggers to hatch.  She wants to keep some to make pets out of them... there are 200 to 400 baby mantis in each egg sac.  However I would like to let them go in my garden to control the squash beetle population.  They have decimated my zucchini 2 years in a row!!!

We also took her friend to the baseball game...

... where they got to run the bases after the game...

 ... and camp out on the field.  The girls did some fancy gymnastic moves on the beautiful carpet err AstroTurf.

 I had to show them my moves too!

 You know, I keep telling her you are what you eat and she just keeps eating pretzels.  Enough said.
