SOLD!
Eric and I have accepted an offer on our home! Our fingers are crossed that the inspections will go smoothly and we can start searching for our next home very soon. It has been a LONG 6 months living out of state while trying to sell our old home. We relied heavy on our friends and neighbors to help us with the mowing, maintenance, and security while Logan battled his cancer. I can't thank you all enough for all that you did for us. It made it so much easier to focus on our family, knowing that the house was being taken care of. You all will be dearly missed.

Hunting Success
All this young man wanted to do for his birthday was go squirrel hunting. On the very last day of the season, he was successful! His first squirrel! He said it was quite tasty. I'll take his word on that! : )

Science City Visit
We visited Science City Friday and I left my camera at home for once. They had this interactive video that entertained us for half an hour. Shown in the video is Logan's two cousins and Logan himself. Can you find him? : )

10 at Last
Logan chose a cookie cake as his birthday cake this year. Yum Yum!
Amanda did the honors to lighting the cake. She has figured out how to work the child safety switch. Oh boy!
Happy Birthday to my not so little boy!

SNOW SNOW AND MORE SNOW
Logan asked if he could celebrate his birthday early this year so he could take advantage of squirrel season. All this almost 10 year old boy wants is to go hunting. He has been researching the perfect hunting rifle for 3 months and has his heart set on a Ruger 10/22 Takedown. (Take down in that you can break it down for cleaning and storage.) We made him wait until February 1st before giving him his new rifle. At least this way it's still in his birthday month! : )
We took the boy and his gun out to Grandpa's woods for some target practice. So far the only thing he has killed is some paper targets but he is not discouraged. Soon he will know the unique flavor of squirrel meat since we have a rule that if you kill it you have to eat it and this boy will not give up on his dream.
After target practice we played on the ice in Grandpa's creek. No fancy playground for these kiddos is needed. Frozen water, fallen tree, a stick and some rocks is all they need for entertainment.
Then the snow kept falling and falling and falling. 5 SNOW DAYS IN A ROW! We were slugs hanging around the house until the streets were clear enough to brave the snow hill.
Thankfully other kids were able to get out and pack down the snow for us!
My baby is growing up so fast!
