Pinewood Derby

This was Logan's first year participating in the Pinewood Derby with his scout group. He and his Dad designed a Batman car that was super slick. It was fast, sleek, and he dropped it at the practice run and bent the back axles!!! Eric replaced them, but it didn't run as fast. Oh, well. Lesson learned (I hope). Better luck next year. But he did have a lot of fun!

They also had an Outlaw class where anyone could build a car and race it. Logan wanted Eric to enter his pinewood truck he made 26 years ago and Amanda wanted to race it for him.

At the awards, Logan won an award for best paint job...
... and came in 6th out of 9 cars in his den. In his defence, he did have some really fast cars in his den to compete with.
Amanda (Eric) won an award too! She (He) placed 3rd! Not bad considering that the kids have been playing with and crashing that car for the last 8 years!

But the best part was at the end. Logan and Eric got to race each other's car and Logan came out the winner! See Video Below.
